Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Associate

The Charter Township of Shelby Parks, Recreation, & Maintenance Department is currently seeking applications for a Seasonal Facilities Maintenance Associate. Candidates should be prepared to work approximately 30-40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The compensation for this role is set at $15.84 per hour, and it does not include benefits. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license to operate Township vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support full-time staff with various tasks and work orders, which may include basic plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation and dismantling of equipment for events or meetings conducted at Township facilities.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning tasks for Township properties.
  • Open parks, inspect and empty trash receptacles, and ensure restrooms are clean and functioning properly.
  • Engage in staining and painting activities as required.
  • Facilitate the pick-up and delivery of materials and supplies.
