We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at The Arc of San Diego. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing essential care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing individual health care plans, providing case management support and oversight for clients, and conducting physical and nutrition assessments. Additionally, you will be required to review pharmacy and medication records, schedule and attend coordinated client service planning meetings, and provide strong advocacy for the rights and best interests of adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individual health care plans for clients
- Provide case management support and oversight for clients, including pharmacy and medication review
- Conduct physical and nutrition assessments for clients
- Review and update client records as necessary
- Attend and participate in coordinated client service planning meetings
- Provide strong advocacy for the rights and best interests of adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Current CA license as a Registered Nurse
- 6 months hands-on experience working with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Experience using electronic case management systems (Therap)
- Previous experience providing in-home care in individual or group settings
