Position Overview: The Lead Risk Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing Triage Staffing's safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, managing corporate insurance policies, and fostering a safety-centric culture throughout the organization.
This position integrates safety and risk management into all operational facets of Triage Staffing, including various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration of business insurance lines, including renewals and management of General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Professional Liability, and Employment Practices Liability Insurance.
- Oversee the workers' compensation claims process, ensuring timely communication with employees and minimizing financial repercussions.
- Ensure accurate and prompt submission of workers' compensation claims, including gathering necessary documentation and liaising with insurance providers.
- Act as a primary contact for employees injured on the job, providing guidance on claims processes and available benefits.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state workers' compensation regulations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Keep detailed records of all workers' compensation claims, including medical documentation and correspondence with insurers.
- Evaluate claims validity and determine appropriate compensation levels based on medical evidence and company policies.
- Support senior management in negotiations with insurance adjusters and legal representatives to secure fair settlements for injured employees.
- Analyze claims data to identify trends and areas for safety protocol enhancement.
- Design and implement risk management processes and safety policies, establishing procedures to identify and mitigate risks.
- Create and maintain the Safety Manual, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety protocols, risk management, and emergency preparedness.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identifying hazards and recommending improvements.
- Develop emergency response plans, coordinating with emergency services to ensure organizational readiness.
- Analyze safety data to identify trends and prepare reports on safety performance and compliance for management.
- Oversee safety practices of external vendors to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Strong attention to detail in risk assessments and compliance documentation.
- Ability to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in analyzing safety data and incident reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with safety management software and risk assessment tools.
- Expertise in developing emergency response plans and managing crisis situations.
Work Schedule: This position requires in-office work with flexibility for remote work upon manager approval.
