Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Service Technician who will be responsible for performing mechanical maintenance tasks related to the inspection, repair, installation, and modification of HVAC and refrigeration systems. This role includes conducting preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems for both commercial and residential clients. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
  • Travel to various job sites and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate any delays to clients.
  • Be available for on-call work during nights or weekends to address emergency service needs.
  • Ensure the company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and completing monthly vehicle inspections.
  • Keep an adequate supply of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
  • Document all equipment upon arrival, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, and necessary measurements.
  • Diagnose service issues, procure replacement parts, calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications, and provide clear explanations to clients regarding issues and solutions.
  • Engage in training opportunities provided by the company to stay updated on the latest industry technologies.
  • Identify potential business opportunities for additional services and communicate these to management.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of UA Apprenticeship or technical school preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred certifications include Journeyman HVAC License, Master HVAC License, EPA, CFC Certification, and Factory Training.
