Job Summary

SST Direct is seeking a skilled Boiler Technician to join our team in the Sandy Springs, GA area. As a Boiler Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing condensing, non-condensing, water tube, fire tube, and pulse type boilers. You will also utilize your knowledge of heating systems and associated burner/control systems to maintain our current boiler customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and commission new and existing boiler installations
  • Troubleshoot, service, repair, retrofit, and make recommendations as needed to return customer boilers, burners, and controls to fully functional condition
  • Diagnose and repair condensing, non-condensing, water tube, fire tube, and pulse type boilers
  • Perform routine and annual inspections, including cleaning of water and fire sides of boilers
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and respond to service calls for assigned customer contract base
  • Work with limited supervision and participate in on-call service rotation
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in troubleshooting and servicing boilers from light commercial to industrial water-tube on a variety of boiler types and manufacturers
  • Experience on boiler fire control systems and understanding of all aspects of boiler safety and operation
  • Valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements to operate company vehicle
  • Ability to work overtime, on-call, and weekend shifts
