About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cheese Shop Clerk. As a key member of our deli team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment, and assisting with sales and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and provide product recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, restock shelves, and ensure that products are properly labeled and displayed.
  • Sales and Profit Goals: Assist in achieving sales and profit goals by promoting products, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and control quality assurance standards, including product freshness and safety.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Deli/Bakery team to create an engaging shopping environment and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Math Skills: Demonstrate basic math skills to handle cash, operate a cash register, and manage inventory.
  • Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced retail environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comparable Retail Experience: Previous retail experience, preferably in a deli or customer service role.
