As the Lead Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with all members of the D5LE2 team, including clients, partners, and suppliers.
This position involves travel to various client, partner, and supplier sites.Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute DFx plans and processes for the D5LE2 Program throughout the entire product life cycle, from development to disposal.
- Work in partnership with FBM production, assembly, testing, and field support teams to set robust DFx objectives, goals, and requirements.
- Oversee the integration of DFx objectives, goals, and requirements into product development activities, collaborating closely with product development teams.
- Collaborate with product development teams to report on DFx activities for various products under development.

Essential Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience in systems engineering or product design.
- Experience as part of a product development team, either as a design engineer or manufacturing engineer, utilizing a systematic approach to design for manufacturing or testing.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop successful program and/or product improvement plans (e.g., facilitating and/or implementing results from structured improvement events).
- Experience with DoD or other government agency clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with LMCO and LM Space structure, programs, and command media is highly desirable.
- Experience leading development activities through significant design reviews such as SRR, PDR, and CDR.
- Familiarity with FBM customers is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of FBM production, assembly, and testing processes.
- Experience in reliability and/or quality engineering.
- Proven experience with model-based engineering tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and executing trade studies.
- Ability to collaborate with other companies and cross-functional teams in a formative environment, evidenced by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and team-building skills.
- A positive, inclusive attitude and adaptability to a dynamic environment; openness to ideas and active listening to ensure mutual understanding; ability to share knowledge and best practices freely among team members and collaboratively develop solutions.
- Active Top Secret clearance.

Lockheed Martin supports various alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week to condensed options, offering employees additional time away from the office, in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on the start date during the calendar year.This position is incentive plan eligible.
