Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage capital improvements and renovations, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Liaise with the Long Range Planning Committee to ensure that projects are aligned with the club's strategic goals.
  • Hire, train, and supervise repair and maintenance personnel.
  • Schedule hours of work for department staff and coordinate workloads and work orders.
  • Procure parts and items needed for maintenance and general department supplies.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for the engineering department and take corrective action as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and coordinate efforts to work activities.
  • Control key systems and work with vendors to receive proposals for various jobs and projects.
  • Maintain pool areas and equipment, ensuring that chemical levels are up to standard.
  • Follow up with project managers and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Maintain an ongoing energy management program for the property's HVAC and lighting systems.
  • Maintain water filtration systems for kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in checking fire protection systems and training personnel in their use.
  • Oversee the Housekeeping Department and ensure that club standards are being met.
  • Responsible for maintaining annual inspections and ensuring proper functions of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, kitchen hoods, wastewater pre-treatment, backflow prevention systems, and OSHA compliance.
  • Responsible for administering and monitoring pest control on club property.
  • Manage the club's on-going preventative maintenance program.
  • Maintain a log for all equipment repairs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrate an upward progression in leadership roles.
  • Experience as a Director at a club or luxury brand facility is preferred.
  • General computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to compute simple numerical problems.
Working Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate, but can be higher. The noise level is usually moderate, but can be higher.
