Summary:
Performs multiple skill functions of a Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist; assures appropriate daily technologist assignments in EEG and or EMU; assists Neurodiagnostic Technologist I and II in achieving their professional goals; orienting, precepting and teaching END Technologists to the unit; working with manager, other healthcare team members and physicians in coordinating daily operational activities and work flow
Responsibilities:
- Independently performs with superior clinical expertise at least one additional skill/modality as needed by the department.
Neonatal and Pediatric EEG; Long Term Epilepsy Monitoring; Invasive EEG monitoring; Evoked Potentials; Nerve Conduction Velocity Studies.
- Required to add additional skills to perform other subspeciality Neurophysiologic diagnostic studies proficiently as needed by the department and Children's Health facility at which employed.
- Collaborates with manager and other team members to prioritize daily workflow of department as assigned.
- Participates in analyzing workflow and staffing needs and assist manager with staff scheduling process.
- Uses expertise in technical troubleshooting by coordination of hardware and software troubleshooting with vendor, IS and Bio-Medical technicians in order to keep equipment in good operating order.
- Consistently applies effective interpersonal skills with evidence of good judgement, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Continues to maintain credentials, skills and knowledge through continuing education and readily shares this knowledge with others in the department.
- Acts as resource to physicians, management, colleagues, and other hospital employees.
- Participates in ongoing Quality Improvement within the department and as needed with other hospital improvement goals.
- Participates in training and developing standards of performance. Assimilates performance improvement in daily activities.
- Contributes to the profession by dissemination of clinical and technical expertise through presentations, publications and or active participation in professional organization(s).
- Serves as a role model and resource to department staff and other disciplines and hospital staff regarding the practice of Neurodiagnostic Technology.,
- Acts as preceptor as needed for END Technologists and EEG technologists

WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years experience in neurodiagnostics Req EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent Req
- Graduate of a Neuro-diagnostics program preferred but not required Pref LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Current Registry in EEG (R.EEG T.) by ABRET - Neurodiagnostic Credentialing Organization Upon Hire Req
- Team members in this role as of 12/31/22, will need have one of the following certifications by January 1, 2027.
- CLTM - Certification in Long Term EEG Monitoring (ABRET)
- R.NCS.T.- Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (AAET)
- R.PSG T. - Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT)
- NA- CLTM- Certification, Neuro Analyst-CLTM (ABRET) Upon Hire Req
- For Technologists primarily employed to work performing Intracranial Epilepsy Monitoring in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit - CLTM - Certification in Long Term EEG Monitoring (ABRET) Pref
- Registry in Neuro Analyst- Long Term Epilepsy Monitoring (CLTM) Pref
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Upon Hire Req JOB PROFILE
