Ultrasound Technologist, NTC

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist, NTC to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Ultrasound department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

• Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound, utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities.
• Conduct complex technical tasks, including performing portable ultrasound exams, determining and preparing medical supplies, instruments, and equipment, and evaluating technical quality of images.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, position patients for each anatomical view, and explain procedures to patients.
• Collaborate with physicians to perform invasive fetal procedures, such as Amniocentesis, Chorionic Villi Sampling, and fetal reductions.
• Provide technical assistance and instruction to students, employees, and medical residents.
• Identify the needs of the patient population served and modify and deliver care that is specific to those needs.

• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
• A minimum of 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.
• Knowledge of all ultrasound equipment, their function, and operation of each control.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification.
• Nuchal Translucency Certification.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN ultrasound.
