The Production Manager is a key member of our production team, responsible for the management and coordination of our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Production Schedules

Develop and implement production schedules to meet production levels consistent with cost objectives.

Coordinate Activities with Other Departments

Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.

Manage Plant Assets

Ensure that all plant assets in area of responsibility are properly managed and safeguarded.

Staff and Train Employees

Staff assigned operations to meet production levels consistent with cost objectives and ensure that employees are properly trained.

Monitor Performance

Monitor performance to established efficiency and quality standards and initiate corrective action as required.

Manage Inventory

Manage inventory in area of responsibility, ensure inventory is rotated in accordance with operational policy, and participate in month-end inventory.

Maintain Machinery

Ensure that machinery in area of operation is properly maintained.

Order Supplies

Order supplies, initiate purchase orders, and approve timecards and incentives.

Prepare Reports

Prepare various reports and logs as required.

Participate in Safety Committee

Participate in the Safety Committee process and ensure that assigned operations are performed consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Two Years of Experience

Minimum of two years of experience as a production supervisor or equivalent.

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP's organization, culture, and product lines.
