Product Director

About the Role

The Product Manager at Genesis Products is responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for our products and/or product lines. As the champion of a product, you will lead cross-functional teams from conception through to launch, requiring strong thought leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, including design, prototypes, testing, forecasting, cost management, and day-to-day support.
• Develop and execute post-launch commercialization plans, working closely with sales to ensure successful adoption of new products.
• Recommend product specifications and requirements, and lead the marketing development effort to bring new products from conceptual stages through product life cycles.
• Collaborate with internal groups such as sales, engineering, marketing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
• Conduct margin analysis, industry/market research, and in-life performance measurement to determine product demand, positioning, viability, and profitability.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key strategic customers.
• Manage day-to-day progress of product development for product lines.
• Provide technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
• Take full P&L responsibility for their Product Lines.
• Travel 40-50%.
