This position, based in Trenton (Hamilton, NJ), is essential in supporting our manufacturing and cultural objectives while working under the guidance of the Assembly Supervisor.
The Junior Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling products, including pumps and compressors, using blueprints and working at various stations to ensure adherence to product specifications and timelines. Additionally, this role involves troubleshooting on the assembly line or in testing areas, with support from experienced assembly staff.
Key Responsibilities:

- Assemble subassemblies and complete pumps according to drawings, work instructions, and verbal guidance.
- Operate mechanical presses, automatic tube and wire cutting machines, and semi-automatic wire crimping and assembly machines to produce subassemblies and final products.
- Utilize various mechanical hand tools and fixtures for product assembly.
- Conduct manual gluing operations as needed.
- Employ electrically and pneumatically driven screwdrivers for fastener installation.
- Consistently produce high-quality products in a manual assembly setting.
- Complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Test subassemblies and finished products using pneumatic gauges, flow meters, and related hardware while applying AC or DC power.
- Perform routine maintenance, ensuring a clean and organized workspace, following 5S practices.
- Paint finished pumps and components as required.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Act in accordance with company policies and cultural initiatives.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is advantageous.
- Proactive and able to work well within a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
