About You
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and generating machine codes for CNC machinery, facilitating the production of a diverse array of injection mold components and assembly line fixtures utilizing advanced 3D CAD software, specifically Master CAM.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to ensure the timely production of machined components.
- Support the Tool & Die department by converting CAD data into CAM software to generate machine code.
- Interpret designs created by others to finalize minor details as necessary.
- Extract components from mold assembly drawings to create 3D electrodes.
- Prepare machine code for 3 & 5 Axis CNC Machinists.
- Enhance your skills through ongoing training in machining theory, machine code programming, and CAD/CAM processes.
- Ensure all work impacting product quality is performed competently based on relevant education, training, skills, and experience.
- Take on additional related responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience and/or training, with a strong background in CNC Machining and a fundamental understanding of 3D CAD systems, including Solid Works.
- Proficient in writing and debugging machine code programs using Master CAM for CNC mill and lathe controls, including 3 and 5 axis.
- Ability to create solid models for machine code generation using MasterCam.
- Experience in injection molding is advantageous.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and undertake new tasks.
- Capability to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
