Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Banquet Bartender to join our team at the Embassy Suites. As a Banquet Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with customers, take orders for drinks and snacks, and provide recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Plan and present bar menus, ensuring that they are appealing and meet the needs of our guests.
  • Serve snacks and drinks to customers, maintaining a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Check identification of guests to ensure they meet age requirements for purchasing alcohol, and mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with hotel standards.
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages, serve wine and beer to guests, and arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays.
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences, and make recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Sell or influence others for up-selling and suggestive selling, and provide recommendations and suggestions to guests for choosing drinks and snacks.
  • Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.
  • Clean up after customers and maintain a clean working area, performing physical activities such as lifting and stooping.
  • Maintain liquor inventory, collect payment for drinks served, and balance all receipts.
  • Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures, and prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
  • Ensure the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, and stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations, and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements
  • One to two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • One to two years of experience bartending, with a good personality and positive interpersonal skills.
  • Dependability and regular attendance, with the ability to work evenings and weekends.
