We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Reactor Project Engineering department at Idaho National Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise for a novel advanced reactor design project.
Key Responsibilities- Apply electrical engineering principles to electrical systems and power transmission and distribution as they relate to reactor design activities.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to develop integrated systems for safe and reliable power delivery.
- Decompose project goals into defined design requirements using a systems engineering approach and digital engineering tools.
- Develop designs for secure, sustainable, resilient, and robust electrical power systems to support operating advanced nuclear reactors.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop functional and operation requirements, system design descriptions, and test procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience, or Master's degree and 2 years of experience, or PhD and 2 years of experience.
- Relevant experience functioning as a project lead, project manager, or lead role.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'Q' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Competitive salary range: Level 3 ($91,008 - $186,588) or Level 4 ($109,260 - $233,908).
