Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Physical Therapy

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Physical Therapy to join our faculty at Clarkson University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in the Department of Physical Therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Teach MSK and orthopedics courses to Physical Therapy students
- Coordinate with other anatomy instructors to maintain the clinical lab and other teaching resources
- Supervise student research projects
- Advise students
- Participate in departmental activities and service duties
- Contribute to course and programmatic outcomes assessment and continuous curricular improvement
- Contribute as a member of the university community to institutional and professional service
- Possess a PT degree and an academic doctoral degree (PhD, DSc, DHS, EdD) or a DPT degree and an APTA board certified clinical specialization
- Be eligible for New York state PT licensure
- Demonstrate expertise in orthopedics
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, motivation and enthusiasm to learn and mentor students
- Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and strengths
- Strong evidence of excellence in teaching at the graduate level and the ability to work in partnership with department chairs and program directors in continually improving the msk and orthopedics curriculum
- Experience of student advising, and supervision of student research or other capstone experiences
- Minimum of 4 yrs. of clinical experience and 3 yrs. of clinical teaching experience preferred
