Daily Responsibilities of an Unarmed Security OfficerAs a Security Officer / Unarmed Guard, your primary duty is to remain vigilant and observant to ensure the safety of your assigned facility and its personnel. You will secure your post by performing regular patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, and inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Additionally, you will manage entry into the facility to maintain a secure environment. Punctuality, attentiveness, and accurate record-keeping are crucial aspects of this role.
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid New Jersey SORA License
- Physical capability to perform the required tasks
- Basic computer literacy
- Excellent customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, enthusiasm, responsibility, and the ability to exercise sound judgment in challenging situations are essential for success in this entry-level position.
