OVERVIEW:
EDI Staffing is looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to become a part of our development team as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with our cross-functional team to evaluate new product modules, features, and enhancements to ensure they meet established technical and business criteria. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail and demonstrate a consistent ability to follow through and meet critical deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the QA Automation Engineer encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Creating test cases, automating, and executing test plans to uncover software anomalies, overlooked requirements, and performance challenges.
  • Collaborating with team members to triage bugs and solicit feedback as needed. Following up with bug owners to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  • Working alongside Product Owners to prioritize test cases and bugs effectively.
  • Participating in sprint ceremonies as an integral member of the development team.
  • Striving for continuous improvement in testing efficiency, particularly for regression testing.
  • Demonstrating tested Sprint features and bug resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting Tier 3 issues to ascertain whether they are known or new bugs.
  • Ensuring that applications adhere to defined solution architecture and utilize best practices in software engineering and design.
  • Providing accurate estimates for task completion, resulting in high-quality outcomes and productivity.
EDUCATION:
A four-year degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven experience in test automation utilizing PlayWright.
  • 3-5 years of experience in QA engineering.
  • 1-2 years of experience in QA automation.
  • Experience with non-functional testing of applications and services.
  • Background in testing complex products and connected/online services, including UI and backend components.
  • Hands-on experience with automated tools such as Chai, Selenium, and JMeter.
  • Familiarity with SoapUI, Postman, or other API testing tools.
  • Comfortable working with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs; knowledge of SOAP/gRPC is advantageous.
  • Experience with Jira or similar product management tools; familiarity with Xray is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A keen interest in understanding how systems operate and identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex issues.
  • Experience in the healthcare IT sector is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in coding with JavaScript, Go, or Java is a plus.
  • Experience in testing event-driven microservices is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with PostgreSQL is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
