We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Southwest General. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in the operating room, under their supervision.
- Help set up the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, and adjust lights and equipment as needed.
- Pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and their assistants, and hold retractors as required.
- Assist with counting sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technician program.
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technician (2 years) preferred.
- Passage of the National Surgical Technician Certification Exam is preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
