Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years as an RN and 1 year of travel nursing experience is preferred. Candidates with experience in vascular surgery populations, including AAA repair and carotid endarterectomy, are highly valued. Familiarity with post-thoracic surgery care and intra-aortic balloon pump management is also essential.

Patient Ratios: The unit operates with a maximum patient ratio of 1:4-1:5, and as low as 1:2, depending on patient acuity.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. Candidates must also demonstrate competency in stroke assessment tools.

Special Requirements: Candidates should possess surgical and cardiac experience. This position may require floating to step-down units based on facility needs.
