We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. As a Corrections' Nurse, you will work closely with experienced auxiliary staff and enjoy excellent managerial support.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical assessments and provide nursing care to offenders at their assigned institution.
- Establish nursing diagnoses and refer offenders to a practitioner as needed.
- Provide medication and treatment as ordered, and monitor medication compliance by offenders.
- Offer health-related education to staff and offenders, and maintain department compliance for inspections.
- Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- Current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
- Ability to perform essential job functions.
