Job Summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center is seeking a skilled Obstetric Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. As an Obstetric Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in our acute primary care facility, working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the obstetric department, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Coordinate care planning with other disciplines, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
  • Supervise and direct other healthcare employees in the provision of patient care, ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
  • Participate in hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  • Observe and adhere to safety guidelines and safe work practices, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • May be asked to assume charge nurse responsibilities on occasion.
Requirements
  • 1 year or more of experience in obstetrics and labor and delivery required.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required upon completion of orientation.
  • NRP and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required upon completion of orientation.
Compensation

$66.64 hourly

Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
