  • Incident Response: Oversee legal aspects of EHS incidents and investigations, coordinating with regulatory agencies, legal teams, and other stakeholders during incident response and resolution.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and management, ensuring training materials are up-to-date with current regulations and best practices.
  • Policies and Procedures: Assist in the development, implementation, and review of EHS policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with legal requirements and company objectives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory agencies, legal authorities, and industry groups on EHS matters, supporting communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding EHS issues.
  • Litigation and Enforcement: Manage and oversee EHS-related litigation and regulatory enforcement actions, working with external legal counsel as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety law, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and navigate regulatory environments.
  • Experience in managing EHS compliance programs and incident investigations is highly desirable.
