The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is looking for Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to deliver anesthetic services under the supervision of a qualified physician anesthesiologist. Key responsibilities include gathering patient information, conducting evaluations, and administering as well as documenting the anesthetic care plan. This role is integral to the University’s dedication to excellence in medical education and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collect a comprehensive and precise pre-anesthetic health history, conduct physical assessments, and document findings clearly.
- Acquire diagnostic laboratory results, interpret data from monitoring devices, and administer anesthetic medications under guidance.
- Conduct post-anesthesia patient evaluations, address critical situations, and perform duties across various clinical environments.
- Engage in clinical education and fulfill related responsibilities as required by the department.
A Master's Degree in Anesthesiologist Assistant program or a related discipline is required.
Certifications and Training- Current certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
- Authorization to practice in Ohio as a C-AA by the time of employment.
- Frequent repetitive hand movements (such as typing).
- Regularly required to stand, communicate, walk, reach overhead, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, pull, or push.
- Rarely required to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
