Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality anesthetic care to patients under the direction of a qualified physician anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain accurate preanesthetic health histories and perform physical examinations to ensure patient safety.
  • Administer anesthetic agents and controlled substances under the direction of a supervising physician anesthesiologist.
  • Insert and interpret data from invasive monitoring modalities, such as arterial lines and pulmonary artery catheterization.
  • Evaluate and treat life-threatening situations, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, based on established protocols.
  • Perform administrative duties and participate in clinical instruction of others.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Anesthesiologist Assistant program or related field.
  • Active Ohio Anesthesiologist Assistant license.
  • Active certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
