Staff Registered Nurse RN Telemetry PCU Progressive Care Unit

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse RN to join our Telemetry PCU Progressive Care Unit team at Baylor Scott & White Health.
About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our patients with cardiovascular conditions. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans, conduct thorough assessments, and prioritize patient needs.
Responsibilities- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and create care plans to meet patient needs
- Prioritize patient and family needs, and delegate tasks to ensure efficient care delivery
- Collaborate with colleagues and community members to create a comprehensive care plan
- Provide education to patients, families, and staff to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices
- Use problem-solving strategies to address patient and family concerns
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures
- Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area
- Proficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects
- Exceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing
- Positive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking
- Basic computer skills, encompassing areas such as Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email
