About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Nurse Specialist to join our team at the State of Illinois. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch nursing care to our residents in a rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify resident needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as needed.
  • Serve as a lead worker and provide guidance and support to other staff members.
  • Develop and implement restorative nursing programs to promote resident independence and well-being.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of care.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing.
  • Two years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience or a bachelor's degree in nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or a master's degree in nursing.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
