About the Job

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our customers by diagnosing and repairing a wide range of maintenance issues on our trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to road assist calls and repair units by identifying and determining parts requiring replacement and warrantable repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics and non-road assist call repairs as needed.
  • Restock rapid assist vehicles with tools, parts, tires, and other necessary supplies.
  • Perform maintenance or repairs to road assist vehicles as required.
  • Assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by supervisor.

Requirements
  • 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/Technical or certification preferred.
  • Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
  • Current CDL license with air brake certification required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this job include frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods. The associate must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
