As the Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will oversee various priorities in a customer-focused environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational aspects of the facility, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment and shipping, as well as effective inventory and quality management.
- Manage all outbound operations to guarantee the precise and prompt picking, packing, and shipping of orders, meeting customer expectations and maintaining high service standards.
- Implement and supervise effective coaching techniques throughout outbound operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Take management responsibility for a facility that may involve multiple warehouse management systems and various customer value-added services.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive workplace environment.
- Lead, mentor, hire, and train team members, including performance management.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and audit standards (e.g., internal controls, ISO 9000).
- Manage the expense-based profit and loss statement (P&L) in alignment with planned objectives.
- Drive operational efficiencies within the facility utilizing LEAN methodologies.
- Maintain facility standards to ensure readiness for tours.
- Ensure preventative maintenance of the facility and all operational equipment (e.g., material handling equipment, racking systems).
- Align facility capacities with expectations set by sales professionals.
- Collaborate with support departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Human Resources, and Finance.
- Engage in the development of annual budgets for the facility.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, particularly in distribution center environments.
- Experience managing a team of individual contributors and/or indirectly supervising support staff.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills in both group and individual settings.
- Able to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
