Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Music Educator to provide engaging music education to students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, the ability to teach a diverse range of musical styles and instruments, and a commitment to fostering creativity and a love of music in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that meets the needs and interests of students at various grade levels.
  • Teach students how to sing, play instruments, read music, and appreciate different genres of music.
  • Organize and lead school performances, concerts, and other musical events.
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and communicate with parents about student performance.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Education or related field.
  • State certification or licensure in Music Education, or working toward certification.
  • Prior experience teaching music to students in a school setting, preferably in a K8 environment.
  • Proficiency on piano, voice, and directing musicals and concerts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
