As a vital member of the ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital team, the Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care within our 114-bed community facility. Our hospital serves a diverse population across four counties, with a dedicated 15-bed emergency department that manages approximately 18,000 patient visits annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care in compliance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing-Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Standards of Practice.
- Ensure that nursing practices align with ECU Health policies and established professional standards.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to assess needs, set expected outcomes, and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions, documenting patient progress and outcomes meticulously.
- Address the unique needs of patients and families, ensuring sensitivity to age-specific requirements.
- Foster effective collaboration within the healthcare team to meet patient and family needs throughout the care continuum.
Work Schedule
This position requires a commitment of 9 FTE, working three 12-hour shifts per week.
