Job Title: Medical Transcriptionist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our team at Salt Lake County. As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient medical records.

Job Summary

Transcribe physicians' dictations into comprehensive and accurate typed records, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Transcribe medical documents with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Investigate inconsistencies in medical records and edit or revise as necessary
  • Produce high-quality transcribed reports within tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and complete medical records
  • Participate in quality assurance projects and meetings to maintain high standards
Requirements
  • 1 year of medical transcription experience
  • Accurate typing speed of over 65 words per minute
  • Specialized transcription training, license, or certificate preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Internet Explorer
