As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory levels in our facility by performing cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and analyzing inventory variances.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct physical inventories, cycle counts, and random audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory variances and make recommendations for improvement.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including variances in usage and cost.
- Perform inventory computer transactions and investigate claim emails.
- Make recommendations for inventory best practices and assist with procedural changes.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and standards.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required.
- PC skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word) and SAP, preferred.
- Ability to utilize an order picker and other P.I.T. equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving, math, and analytical skills.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented.
The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- Lift 10-25 pounds consistently and/or occasionally lift/move up to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear.
- The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the warehouse.
- Being able to tolerate extreme cold temperatures.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the warehouse area.
