Job Overview:
The Automotive Technician II is responsible for modifying vehicles in a prototype setting, executing a diverse array of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
This role involves both independent project work and collaboration with clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure optimal vehicle performance by addressing repair orders or following supervisor directives and conducting thorough inspections.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical system issues, replacing parts and components as necessary.
Interpret and adhere to service protocols effectively.
Document vehicle maintenance by logging notes, service details, and repair orders.
Maintain shop equipment functionality by adhering to operational guidelines, troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating repairs when needed.
Engage in daily organization and cleanliness of the workshop.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Mechanic.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
State Mechanic Certification(s).
Valid driver's license.

Essential Skills and Competencies:
Proficient in mechanical assembly with the ability to operate shop tools effectively.
Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
Possesses personal tools with a rolling toolbox and is available for overtime and weekend shifts.
Capable of reading, understanding, and executing written instructions.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Familiarity with vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machinery, and balancing equipment.
