Job Summary

This position is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a Registered Nurse-Specialty Clinics, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members to promote professional growth and development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions.
Requirements
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • At least 2 years of professional nursing experience in a specialty care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a VA or healthcare setting.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
