Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee assigned department or functional area to ensure effective performance, including preparing and implementing business strategy, ensuring legal compliance, communicating with stakeholders, managing employment decisions, and managing departmental budget and fiscal success.
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate clinical programs of nursing care, education, and research-related activities for designated clinical divisions/departments.
  • Implement system-wide initiatives related to nursing and model of care, focusing on continuity of care, nurse-patient-family relationship, and accountability systems.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to ensure well-planned programs and fully integrated services, promoting a patient-centered, outcome-driven approach to care.
  • Manage human, fiscal, and material resources within the division, acting on behalf of the CNE as needed.
Requirements:
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
  • 4 years of progressive nursing Director/Management experience required.
  • BSN and Master's in Nursing, Business, Health Administration, or related field, or Master's Degree in Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Womens and Pediatric service lines.
