Overview

Since its inception, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has solidified its reputation as a leading medical center and the most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in the region.

The hospital offers advanced cardiovascular care, including one of the largest open-heart programs in Florida.

The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primacy PCI and Resuscitation - its highest and best level of accreditation.

The hospital also offers world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic surgery, life-saving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and so much more.

As a key member of our facility, specializing in accredited stroke and chest pain care, you will be at the forefront of saving lives and providing top-notch care.

We are currently expanding our focus to incorporate more specialized pediatric care.

As the director of the emergency department, I lead with a servant leadership approach. Every day, I advocate for my team's empowerment and support in all their endeavors.

My commitment is unwavering: to ensure each team member feels valued, heard, and equipped to thrive. I recognize that by uplifting others, we all succeed. Nurses within our department are recognized each and every day for their hard work and commitment.

Qualifications

Under the direction of the unit director, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the care and safety of the patient.

  • Education: Associates Degree
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Florida Registered Nurse License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH
  • Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
