About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team at TotalMed Staffing. As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout their labor and delivery experience.
Job Overview
This is a 90-day contract position with a salary of $2,511.00 per week. The job is located in Lebanon, New Hampshire, and requires 3 days of work per week from 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.
- Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Provide education and support to mothers and their families during the postpartum period, including breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
