About the Position

Job Description

The Social Services Advocate will provide wraparound support to agency clients through a varied array of services, including case management, support groups, parenting classes, case management, and community education or awareness activities. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with other professionals and referral sources to support clients with relationship-focused, hope-centered, and trauma-informed service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures, beliefs, abilities, and experiences.
  • Demonstrate capacity for providing developmentally sensitive, hope-centered, trauma-informed relationship-focused evidence-based/informed services and supports.
  • Provide direct services to clients which may include referral, screening, assessment, service plan, progress notes or reports, and discharge services.
  • Assess client needs and provide appropriate referral and linkage to resources as necessary.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team activities, meetings, and educational opportunities for clients and families.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health field, education, social work, or closely related field.
  • One (1) year experience working in the mental health or social work field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Estimated Salary

$40,000 - $50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
