We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Wilder Elementary. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general custodial duties, including floor care and general cleaning.
- Assist with grounds maintenance, including snow removal and lawn and gardening tasks.
- Support other building personnel with special activity preparation.
- Develop knowledge of building mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with the Head Custodian and district maintenance personnel to operate and repair mechanical systems.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Basic knowledge of proper housekeeping, floor care, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to learn proper equipment operation and new procedures.
- Human relations skills.
- Ability to lift sixty (60) pounds.
This role requires frequent sitting, occasional walking and standing, and the ability to lift sixty (60) pounds. You will also need to maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to perform the duties of this job.
Terms of EmploymentThis is a full-time, benefited position with a 12-month contract. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend hours depending on events.
