POSITION SUMMARY:

The National Project Manager at BluSky's construction division is a traveling role across the nation, overseeing the daily management of various construction projects. This includes essential functions such as client relations, vendor selection, procurement of materials, project scheduling, budget management, financial reporting, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining quality standards. The National Project Manager collaborates closely with all stakeholders to guarantee exceptional customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000

Additional CAT (Catastrophic) Pay: $750 per day during designated events.

Commission OTE Range: $50,000 - $100,000

Per Diem: $900 weekly for travel-related expenses.

Vehicle Allowance: $500 monthly

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This role supports projects across the United States, necessitating up to 100% travel with a hands-on approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Operations
  • Develop strong relationships with project stakeholders and demonstrate project management expertise.
  • Execute all contracted scopes following industry Best Practices.
  • Ensure all work is appropriately contracted or subcontracted.
  • Secure necessary building permits and comply with all governmental regulations.
  • Follow OSHA and environmental regulations diligently.
  • Assist the Project Director with managing change orders.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors, promoting safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Successfully manage buyout processes, quality control, safety compliance, scheduling, and project closeout.
  • Maintain high standards of customer communication and service.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Ensure project outputs meet the highest workmanship standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Office Management
  • Verify that all subcontractors operate under valid agreements per Best Practices.
  • Approve or deny invoices with clear communication to the project team.
  • Accurately project, record, and manage all project costs using budget worksheets.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and profit margin targets set by BluSky.
  • Create, update, and present project schedules to clients, Project Directors, and VPs on a weekly basis.
  • Mentor and train junior team members effectively.
  • Track change orders and additional project costs through signed documentation and budget updates.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
  • This position oversees and directs site personnel and subcontractors on assigned projects.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management with projects exceeding $5M.
  • Proficient in construction project management, financial oversight, and administrative processes.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity, capable of working independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in technology and computer applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all project stakeholders and local authorities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience in constructing multi-family units, hotels, and multi-building campuses.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of extensive construction project management experience with sophisticated clients.
