We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Engineering Intern/Co-op to join our team at Andis Company. As a Packaging Engineering Intern/Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to packaging design, development, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and analyze packaging solutions for various products.
- Interface with internal and external customers to understand their needs and expectations for packaging solutions.
- Design and develop packaging solutions that meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure packaging meets quality and safety standards.
- Assist in the development of packaging prototypes and test them to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- Participate in project teams to assist in meeting stage gate deliverables.
- Complete competitor benchmarks to document current packaging data.
- Assist with production floor challenges as needed.
- Candidate must be currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior in an accredited college or university for the duration of the assignment and pursuing a bachelor's degree in packaging engineering/science.
- Completed entry-level and material classes in packaging.
- Basic understanding of principles of structural analysis to determine effects of loads on structures.
- Previous experience or coursework in packaging preferred.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, Artios, ArtiosCad, TOPs or similar design software.
- Excel skills are required.
- Must be able to commute to the work location daily.
