About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Operations Coordinator to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for overseeing various business processes and ensuring the smooth operation of our athletic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Operations: Provide administrative support for the athletic department, including managing budgets, coordinating travel, and processing invoices.
  • Financial Management: Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the athletic department.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Coordinate the procurement of goods and services for the athletic department, including equipment, supplies, and travel arrangements.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Serve as a liaison between the athletic department and other university departments, as well as external vendors and partners.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, finance, or sports management.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in higher education or athletic administration.
  • Skills: Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires occasional evening and weekend work. The successful candidate will be based in our office and will be required to travel occasionally for meetings and events.
