A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION SPECIALIST
As a Fiber Optic Installation Specialist, you are pivotal to our success. To our clients, you represent the high standards we uphold as a company. You will carry out scheduled cable installations, splicing, fiber terminations, and other maintenance tasks related to cable and fiber optic systems. Your ability to interpret complex splicing installation prints is essential as you test, certify, and document cable installations.
With meticulous attention to detail, our technicians troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues. You will perform your duties safely both indoors and outdoors, ensuring the use of appropriate safety equipment. To maintain accurate records of your work, you will document all fiber optic cabling and related maintenance activities. You will enjoy meeting new clients daily and take pride in delivering exceptional service.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION SPECIALIST
- 2-4+ years of relevant experience
- Willingness to undergo a background and drug screening, including marijuana, upon hire
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- This position is classified as Safety Sensitive, DOT regulated
Experience in copper splicing is preferred. Telecommunications certifications are advantageous. Do you possess above-average customer service and problem-solving skills? Is your attention to detail exceptional? Do you have strong analytical abilities? If so, you may be an ideal fit for this role.
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position. Night shifts may be required, and travel could be necessary.
