We are seeking a Facilities Technician (Mechanical/HVAC) to join our team in the Madison Heights laboratory. This position is crucial for the upkeep and repair of various mechanical and HVAC systems, including laboratory control mechanisms and environmental chambers (both cascade and single-stage systems). Proficiency in general plumbing, electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical systems is essential.

As a vital member of our operations team, you will engage with both legacy systems and cutting-edge technology as the organization continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and HVAC systems and their controls.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, cascade refrigeration units, environmental chambers, air compressors, hydraulic power supplies, and water towers.
  • Manage HVAC and critical item inventories to minimize equipment/system downtime.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for the installation of new systems and equipment as the company expands.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Ensure adherence to Applus+ Reliable Analysis safety protocols.
