About the Role:

Nightwing is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to support our critical customer mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources to implement infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing new technologies and equipment in the lab environment
  • Assessing network topology and device configurations to identify critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations
  • Advising on the development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
  • Providing support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Citrix) to users
  • Providing support for MacOS and iOS to users
  • Troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues
  • Monitoring and responding to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines
  • Assisting in the management of user accounts and resetting credentials
  • Performing implementation of granular access control, and monitoring systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, to include Linux/Unix & MacOS
  • Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
  • Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
  • Experience with virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare)

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with SIEMs to include ELK and Splunk
  • Virtualization automation and optimization
  • Experience working with Jamf Pro, DEP, and Enterprise Connect implementation
  • Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures

Benefits:

Nightwing offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 - $221,000, as well as a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
