Position Summary:
The Guest Services Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction at our grocery store. This position is responsible for managing daily operations at the Service Counter and enhancing customer relations through effective service and engagement techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address customer needs directly through face-to-face interactions, electronic communication, or phone calls, ensuring prompt responses to inquiries.
- Provide information regarding promotions, offers, and events to assist customers in their purchasing decisions.
- Utilize established guidelines to effectively resolve customer complaints.
- Process transactions accurately and maintain cash and media at Service Counter registers.
- Collaborate with cashiers to ensure that both associate and customer needs are met throughout the day.
- Document customer comments, inquiries, complaints, and actions taken for future reference.
- Facilitate exchanges, refunds, discounts, and other offers related to customer accounts.
- Perform verifications and process orders, applications, and requests as needed.
- Assist with additional services such as DMV, Lottery, and ticket sales.
- Direct unresolved issues to the appropriate resources for further assistance.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of guest service standards and policies.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
- Ensure quality standards are met consistently throughout the day.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the work schedule.
Qualifications:
- Availability of at least 16 hours per week, with a minimum of 8 hours on available days.
- Ability to process transactions using the register system.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and associates.
- Capability to read, count, and write accurately.
- Proficiency in operating necessary equipment for the role.
- Knowledge of the range of products and services offered by Festival Foods.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Sound judgment in prioritizing tasks.
- Genuine interest in assisting and working with customers.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and perform bending and kneeling tasks regularly.
- Physical capability to lift and handle merchandise and fixtures as required.
- Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work Schedule:
This position is hourly and may be part-time or full-time, with a schedule that includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on individual availability.
