About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate angiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, para/thoracentesis, and abscess drainages.
  • Assist with basic interventional and surgical procedures, receiving direction from attending and resident physicians.
  • Monitor patients and alert staff to life-threatening changes in patient status, applying the defibrillator and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.
  • Process images, ensuring they are of diagnostic quality, and assist with evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality.
  • Compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure accurate exam procedures.
  • Post-process images, accurately identifying and labeling them with patient information.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and document patient and study information in the radiology information system.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and lifting up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
