Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Repair: Respond to service calls, work orders, and preventive maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairing doors, door hardware, and other building components.
  • Electrical and Plumbing Repairs: Perform electrical and plumbing repairs, including replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance on equipment, including HVAC systems, medical gas outlets, and pneumatic tube systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Establish and monitor preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment is operating within established parameters.
  • Inspections and Troubleshooting: Inspect assigned building spaces to identify and correct general maintenance deficiencies and troubleshoot equipment problems.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 3 years general experience and 2+ years maintenance or construction experience in a healthcare, hotel, institutional, or manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical maintenance, and other related skills

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to climb, push, pull, bend, and reach, as needed to perform essential job activities
  • Work Environment: Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and temperature extremes
